Travel
Getting between Detroit and Chicago is a straightforward trip across the Midwest, whether you prefer to drive or take public transportation. Here are the travel times and a sample itinerary to help you plan your visit.



Driving
Approximately 4 hours and 30 minutes (282 miles) via I-94 W. This is often the most flexible option for visiting multiple venues.
Bus



(Amtrak Wolverine): Approximately 5 hours and 20 minutes. The route runs from the Detroit Amtrak Station to Chicago Union Station, offering a relaxing ride through southern Michigan.



Train
(Greyhound/FlixBus): Approximately 5 to 6 hours, depending on the number of stops.

Day 1: Detroit Arrival & The Riverfront
