Ladies, this month is your reminder to slow down and truly check on YOU.
Too often women carry the weight of everybody else while ignoring their own bodies, their own stress, their own warning signs, and their own health.
This month, take time to focus on yourself.
Schedule the mammogram.
Go to the routine visit.
Get your bloodwork done.
Check your blood pressure.
Talk to your doctor.
Ask questions.
Learn your body.
And most importantly — KNOW YOUR HISTORY.
Knowing your personal health history and your family history is extremely important. Many health conditions affecting women can run through generations, and sometimes the smallest conversations with family members can provide life-saving information.
It is also never too late to rebuild and restart your diet, your habits, and your lifestyle.
Start drinking more water.
Pay attention to what you eat.
Move your body.
Protect your mental health.
Rest.
Reduce stress when you can.
Learn healthier routines little by little.
Don’t wait until something bad happens to be forced into change.
Having the right mindset gives you a better chance at making healthier decisions before your body reaches a breaking point. Prevention, awareness, and consistency matter.
Keeping up with your health can only lead to better outcomes, better quality of life, and more opportunities to enjoy the people and moments you love.
At UE Speaks, we encourage women to prioritize themselves this month and beyond.
Women, please get checked this month because wealth means nothing without health.
